THE WORK OF GOD

*Study scripture*: -_1 Corinthians 15: 58-Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]._

*THE WORK OF GOD. *

One of the things that have caused Christians to faint as regards to the work of the Lord is them serving and seeing no reward for their labour in ministry. Or many have not joined ministry because they think it is a waste of time.

Paul encourages us to always abound in the work of the Lord steadfast and immovable, not only when there is a reward but also when there is none. As a Christian, you are supposed to carry and emulate a certain kind of excellence and virtue in the ministry of the Lord.

Always invest all you can to ensure that the work of the Lord is glorious. Let every thing have your spirit, soul, and body in it as you minister and serve. This is because only God is your reward. It is important to be ready for every good work as regards to ministry.

As you do all these things for God,have it at the back of your mind that all your labour and efforts in the Lord are not in vain. The spirit of God shall recompense everything you have rendered for his service.

If you have invested money,it is not to waste. If you have ever fasted for the work of God,it was not in vain. If you have ever prayed for the ministry,it was not in vain. Stand strong, steadfast and immovable as you stand in the ministry of God because he shall recompense you.

*Prayer:*
I appreciate you spirit of God for the abundant grace placed upon my life to serve in ministry. Through the grace of God I am able to be strong and abound in the work of the Lord in the name of Jesus.
