*Study scripture:* _Romans 3:21-22 – But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; – Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:_
*THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD 1*
For over the years of church existence,if there’s anything that has torn apart the church,caused divisions and led Ministers to disagree and fight each other is the issue of the doctrine of righteousness. The subject of righteousness has caused a lot of strife among ministers.
The only reason is that some have not sat down to be taught exactly what be the mind of the spirit concerning God’s righteousness,or even when they have been taught;they intentionally responded with a stiff-neck and heart of stone because these realities do not march their personal convictions.
When we talk about the two kinds of righteousness, they are derived from the fact that we have two covenants/testament. The old covenant was a covenant of works where man struggled to please the Lord for righteousness and holiness. In the old covenant, God gave you righteousness because of your personal works to please him.
Whereas for the new covenant,it is fully built on the testimony of the blood of Jesus that was shed for many. The difference between the old covenant and the new is that in the old, Jesus had not died. So man had to labour to attain his own salvation.
In the new covenant, Jesus has died and has become an atonement for your sin. We call him a saviour because we could not save ourselves. That is the start of the Righteousness of God that comes by faith in what Jesus has done for you. In the new covenant, God has taken of his righteousness and given you as a gift free of charge. If there was a possibility of making yourself righteous, Jesus would not have come to die for you.
The issue of righteousness is a covenant issue, you are the Righteousness of God in Christ by faith and not by works because it is Jesus that has purchased that gift for you. When you believed on Jesus,you were delivered from personal efforts to become righteous before God but rather received the very righteousness of God.

You nolonger labour to attain righteousness,the old covenant demanded you to work with your efforts to be made righteous. The new covenant has imputed righteousness to you freely through your faith in Jesus Christ. You are the righteousness of God in Christ. Rejoice in that child of God.

*Prayer:*
I proclaim with my mouth that I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am nolonger under the works of the law to be made right with God,but am under the grace of God to redeem me from sin and impute righteousness on me. I am nolonger subject to sin in the name of Jesus.
