THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

*Study scripture:* _Romans 10:3 – For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God._

*THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD*

In our theme scripture, the bible speaks of two kinds of righteousness. The righteousness of God and then the the righteousness of men. And a man is a carrier of one of the two always.

Unfortunately,it was sad to notice that majority of the church did not know about the righteousness of God. Even currently,there are few christians who understand God’s righteousness. Many are still ignorant about the Righteousness of God.

The scriptures says that they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Much as you can carry your own righteousness, God expects you to submit to his righteousness always. They knew not about God’s righteousness because no one taught them about it.

The righteousness of man is also called the righteousness of works, also called the Righteousness of the law of Moses. This comes by a man’s ability to respond and to keep all the precepts in the law of Moses to fully please God. The works of a man are his confidence in God’s sight.

The Righteousness of God is also called the Righteousness of faith by Christ Jesus. This comes by a man receiving Jesus Christ and walking in the fullness of the testimony accomplished by Jesus. This is the Righteousness you received of when you became born again.

Jesus died to deliver you from the Righteousness of the law. He died to deliver you from your own efforts to please God so that you only believe in him and what he has done to partake of God’s righteousness. The Righteousness of God is that unto which all christians are expected to submit.

There are two kinds of righteousness. The Righteousness of man comes by observing the law and in a man’s ability to please God. The Righteousness of God comes by faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus paid a price for you to deliver you from works. Believe him as Lord and savior and all he has done and partake of God’s righteousness.

By my faith in Jesus Christ,I acknowledge that am a partaker of the righteousness of God. I am the Righteousness God in Christ Jesus.
