*Psalms 51:17*
_The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise._

*Insight*
From our theme scripture, various bible versions have substituted ” _broken_ ” with ” _humble_ “. The scripture tells us that the sacrifice of God is a humble or broken and contrite heart. God has also called us to love one another as we love self *Mark 12:31* , but we can’t claim to be moving in that love if we aren’t walking in humility because we can’t separate the two, humility evidences God’s love. The command and the sacrifice here are one and the same. If you obey the command of love, you show it by giving a sacrifice of humility.

So how many times have we thought ourselves more highly than we ought too in society or amongst our fellow believers? ( *Romans 12;3* ), how many times have we compared ourselves with others ( *Galatians 6:4-6*), an honest evaluation may show that we’ve not really been faithful stewards of God’s love and humility . But God’s grace is sufficient *2 Corinthians 12:9* and we can choose this day to walk in humility everywhere we go, we can choose to walk in humility as we deal with our neighbours because yes,its a choice to be humble and it will not only bring God glory because we will be walking in love with others but also the lord promises to exalt us *Proverbs 29:23* and give us more grace *1 Peter 5:5-6.*

*PRAYER*
Heavenly father we thank you for this understanding of humility you’ve awakened in our minds. Help us to walk there in for the glorification of your name. Amen

– Do you believe that you can trust the Lord for wonderful things at this time?
– It is part of God’s heart and character to do wonderful things for us.
– Friend be expectant, keep holding on, and believe in His faithfulness towards you.
– May others soon hear about the wonderful things He has done for you.

PRAYER: Wonder working God, I am expectant, and my heart is full of confidence that You will do wonderful things for me. I pray that others, around me, will also see how You have undertaken and provided for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
