*Study scripture:* _1 Timothy 5:19 – Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses._
*CHURCH DISCIPLINE 4*
Who is an elder? An elder is a person who holds an experience and testimony of the word and the spirit. He is a man perfected in wisdom and in all purity of love and his presence in a ministry plays key in sustaining and holding it.
Concerning elders, Paul teaches Timothy not to receive an accusation against such a man except in the presence of two or three witnesses. There should always be a witness of the things you are speaking.
There are lots of gossip, slander, talks of bitterness in church concerning many people and brethren. But as a Christian, you must learn to know and discern which is right and which is wrong.
Simply because a word came out of the mouth of a person you know does not make it right. The standard of establishing an accusation against someone must be in the presence of two or three witnesses always.
As a Christian, learn not to spread slander, malice and unnecessary gossip concerning brethrens in church. Do not carry messages that will cause the ministry and ministers to divide, hate and devour one another.
Be careful about the things you speak concerning fellow ministers, elders, brothers and sisters in church because some can be a stumbling block to men’s ministry. Have a witness of the things you speak always. It is part of good conduct towards church as a family.

Galatians 6:1
Mathew 18:15-17
*Nugget:*
It is not good to bring an accusation against elders and fellow church members except in the presence of witnesses. Not everything you hear about someone in church is right. Always take off sometime to find out and discover for yourself what exactly is right.
*Prayer:*
My eyes are opened to the reality of church discipline. The grace of God empowers me to walk in great wisdom, love and humility not to offend and stumble fellow brothers to the glory of God in the name of Jesus.
Amen
