*Study scripture: * _Ephesians 5:18-And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;(KJV)_
*BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT.*
What does it mean to be filled with the spirit? For us to know what it means to be filled by the spirit, we should begin by understanding the effect of wine on a man who is full with it.
The word encourages us not to be filled with wine as in excess. When a man is drunk with wine, it controls everything about him. Wine becomes the influence of that manâs character.
The effect of drunkenness changes his eyes, how he sees, how he talks, how he walks, how he speaks,how he plans,his decisions etc. You can really look at the man and tell this man has been filled with wine.
Likewise to be filled with the spirit is beyond an experience of tongues. It has much to do with the spirit controlling your character. The spirit influences how you talk, you walk, how you decide, how you see changes and everything about you.
Surely, when a man is filled with the spirit,you can tell and know by his character. Just as a drunkard is filled and controlled by wine in all things, so must you be filled and controlled by the spirit in everything.
