A Healthy Church

“For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
— Ephesians 4:12 (KJV)
*A Healthy Church* .
God’s perfect will for us is to have a healthy body. Thats why Jesus went about doing miracles of healing, because a healthy body is the evidence of abundant life (John 3:16 & John 10:10).

[ 1 Corinthians 12:27] The Church likewise is addressed as the body of Christ, therefore just like God desires our individual bodies to be healthy, much more the body of Christ.

To ensure this, God through Christ has given out spiritual gifts, whose end is to edify, build, nourish and bring to perfect health His body.[Ephesians 4] Therefore to have a healthy Church that produces sons that creation has earnestly waited for, all these gifts should be operating.

The early Church from whom we witness great manifestation of power of the Christ in purity was characterised of such, men were perfected in the work of ministry because the prophets spoke into their destinies, the teachers established their lives in truth, Evangelists attributed to the increase in numbers as well as Apostles laid a foundation and established churches.

The list of the gifts in not limited only to the above 5 offices but to every God given gift in you, be you a musician, an usher or 1 who serves on tables. The end of that gift in you, is to edify God’s body. The health of the Church is manifest in how men are established into truth and how diligent are they giving themselves to the father’s business. Therefore let us stir up that Gift in us [2 Timothy 1:6], for us to witness more of God’s son rise up and take their position. For this is what creation earnestly waits for. Hallelujah.
