ENDURE CHASTENING.

*Study scripture: * _Proverbs 3:11-12 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth._

As a Christian, you ought to recognize that one of the aspects of love is being corrected, rebuked, instructed and sometimes reproved. A person correcting you or instructing you does not mean that they hate you.

Several individuals grow up with a mindset that as long as they are loved, then they should only be treated well. It is this misconception that could even cause a parent to insult a teacher at school because the latter suspended their child for misconduct.

As long as the Lord loves you,he will correct you. As long your parents or pastors love you, they shall correct you always. If a person looked at you doing wrong and could not correct you means they do not definitely love you regardless of the expressions of emotions they portray.

Exercise the discipline of loving people God has placed in your way to correct you. They may do it the wrong way or the right way but as long as their aim was to restore you to the right path, learn to appreciate God for them. It is a blessing having someone to watch over you.

Do not get tired of being instructed. Inquire of them if you spoke the right way. Inquire of the Lord if you are dating the right person. Ask your parents if you acted the right way. Consult from your mentors if that dress code was worth.

Feel free always to ask your mentors whether you are making the right decisions. Inquire of the Holy Spirit even in small matters. As long as they love you, they will correct you and you ought to appreciate them. The Agape of God corrects.
