Of fathers 1

*1 Corinthians 4:15* ; _For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the Gospel_ .

In the present generation just like the men of old most of us have gotten of ourselves men that bless our spirits especially through the word.

For this even the scriptures approve it: one may choose to learn about Faith from one man of God, another love from a certain woman of God and another Giving from a brother in faith; these may possibly not be their home church Pastors. However just like it is in the flesh, the scriptures speak of spiritual fathers and instructors.

But see, when one recognises not the difference between an instructor and a father, a man may frustrate certain things in his life, delay his spiritual growth and even their waxing great in physical wealth. Paul found it of virtue to warn the church in Corinth pertaining this matter. [verse 14].

*Who is a spiritual Father?* _A spiritual father/ parent is a person who is accountable to God for you, s/he may be the one that led you to Christ, one that bears a clear vision of God pertaining your life. He is your father as well as God is his father, he points not to himself but to God. S/he may be your biological parent as long as their bare the above characteristics._

Paul begat Timothy [1 Timothy 1:2] and Titus [Titus 1:4], Elijah begat Elisha [2 Kings 2:12], Abraham though he being Isaac’s father, he was still his Spiritual father; that’s why when Isaac is speaking to God he addresses him as the God of my father, because it’s by Abraham that he got to know of God’s ways.

Ooh, precious father I thank you for the Spirit of wisdom and understanding in this knowledge. By it my time is redeemed, because I learn of whom I am accountable to concerning the heavenly things. I expand for your Glory because it is your will for me to prosper. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
