IMITATION

*Study scripture: * _Hebrews 6:12-That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises._

*IMITATION*

Our theme scripture encourages us not to be lazy and slothful but to follow and learn from men that inherit the promises. One sign of a lazy Christian is that they do not learn from those ahead of him.

To inherit the promises means to walk and have results of what God has spoken. For example if God has said by his stripes I am healed and a man walks in it,he has inherited that promise and he is a good example to learn divine health from.

If the word of God has said that we ought to preach the gospel and a brother or sister is fully walking and operating in it, they are an example of a man that has inherited that promise of evangelism and I ought to learn from them.

As a Christian, be keen to observe and see who is walking in a certain promise of the spirit. Their patience and endurance in allowing the promise be fulfilled in their lives makes them an example for you to learn from them.

Discover a man or woman that is walking in the will of God and make them your friend or even mentor. Follow after and be close to someone in whom you see results of the word of God and your life will not remain the same.

Loving father I thank you so much for your word this morning. I appreciate you for teaching me to follow after those ahead of me. I receive the ability to learn and follow after everyone working by your testimony in the name of Jesus.
