*Study scripture:* _2 Corinthians 10:4-5. -(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) [5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;_

*SPIRITUAL WARFARE*

Paul begins by describing the nature of warfare that believers engage in which is spiritual because belivers are new creatures in Christ. It is a kind of war that is powerful through God which only means that a believer can only win that war in Christ (in-line with the word).

Much as we have understood the nature of the warfare, we haven’t yet been told where the warfare is taking place from. Verse 5 follows after a semi-colon implying that its content is an addition to the context in the previous verse and so it speaks of casting down imaginations.

Imaginations are built in the mind and that is where we get to learn that the warfare takes place in the mind.
When it is mentioned in verse 5 that the war casts down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, it means that anything that raises its rank in opposition to or against the knowledge you have about God is what you are actually fighting.

An instance is, should there be something that seems to want to claim much of your attention against what the scripture says about that particular thing then it should be the element that you fight out of your mind by throwing away any image that relates to it.

That something could be a medical issue or lack of provision.
The bible still goes ahead to tell us what to do after discovering what we are fighting of, which is bringing it into captivity to the obedience of Christ or the word of God.

Child of God it is not just enough to know that you are a new creature or that whatever worry is against the mind of God or that the war is in the mind. What actually finishes the warfare and declares you a victor is making that worry or problem to obey what the word says about you.

*Nugget:*
Child of God it is not just enough to know that you are a new creature or that whatever worry is against the mind of God or that the war is in the mind. What actually finishes the warfare and declares you a victor is making that worry or problem to obey what the word says about you.

*Prayer:*
Father we are grateful for such a time as this. We are grateful for teaching us how or where and what our war is all about. With boldness I speak to that infirmity having the word as the foundation of my speech. In Jesus’ name.
*Amen.*
