The things to think upon

“ _Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things_ .”
— Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

Theme: *The things to think upon* .
Many of us have revolved around depression, stress and anxiety just because of the things we see, hear and ponder upon. For anything a man inclines his ear to listen to or watches, is recieved of the mind and deposited into our hearts. And when the heart from which the issues of life flow is influenced by such negative information, surely to such a man, only a renewal of mind is a remedy.

Often times we are sorrounded by people who are always negative about everything; we listen and watch news that depict the world to be helpless and hopeless, we tune in to songs that remind us more of our struggles and how pitiful we are.
Thinking on such things and sorrounding ourselves with negative people will hinder the flow of the working of God in our lives and as well blind our sight to the open doors set before us. [Revelations 3:18]

For Jesus to heal the Synagogue leader’s daughter, he had to send out the people whose faith was down, he was avoiding negative influence. [ Matthew 9:18-26]. Maybe to get out of that sorry state, we ought to stop pitying ourselves and separate ourselves from negative conversations and self pity songs.

Let the word of truth dominate our thoughts and the peace that transcends all understanding surely shall guard our hearts and minds, Hallelujah.
