The True Salvation ~ Faith Alone
*”By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)*
*Insight*
AS members of the fallen race we were incapable of doing any work which our holy God could accept….
Our present standing, therefore, as New Creatures, is not the result of anything that the old creature did, or could have done. It is not of ourselves; it is the gift of God. This lesson must be thoroughly appreciated, else we will be continually in danger of falling….
So far from considering the New Creature as an evolution of the old creature, the apostle would have us understand distinctly that it is a new and separate creation. We were created in Christ Jesus, God’s workmanship–prepared for good works, but not by good works.
Immediately following this declaration, Paul repeats and clarifies it. Paul does not want anyone to think salvation is based on something they had done, or could ever do. No action is good enough to provide our own salvation. No good deeds can undo the sins we have committed. Salvation is a gift. Further, it is a gift only God can provide. No matter how much we desire to give salvation to another person, we cannot. Only God can offer the gift of eternal life. Instead, we are called to proclaim the gospel, live it, share it, pray for the salvation of others, and help people grow in the grace of God. The Lord must be the one to provide salvation and does so as He chooses.

4/2/21, 7:22 AM – +256 772 513418: Here is your Word to Command this Good Friday:
John: 19: 30
” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.”
– On this Friday called “Good” there should be profound peace and delight in the depth of my spirit rather than depression.
– No hopeless grief.
– It is a day when God showed me His love.
– On the cross! Oh happy fault!
– Today is the reality of my covenant with God my Father.
– It is not merely a story being told once again.
– I am involved in the event of that Passion and death…meant for me; a redemption for me.
PRAYER: I behold the wood of the cross on which hung the Saviour of the world. LORD Jesus, You sealed the covenant with the Father. I know You are that Lamb that took away my sins. Take away my grief and turn the dark moments of my life into joy. Renewal my commitment to You. Lord have mercy on me a sinner for You are Christ my LORD and Saviour. Amen.
