*Submission 1(vision)*

One of the key principles in christian growth and establishment is the concept of submission. Especially in ministry, everyone is supposed to submit to someone but there are values that govern the principle of submission.

One of the greatest aspects of submission is the concept of vision. In submission, you are supposed to submit to a man or woman who understands and speaks to the vision of God in your life.

This means before I submit to someone, they must have full counsel and understanding of the vision of God concerning my life. And before someone is submitted to me, I must labour to know the actual vision of God concerning their lives.

Why did Isaac love Esau? It is because Isaac understood the vision of God concerning Esau. Esau was the first born son and he had to be prepared by the father Isaac for inheritance as a firstborn.

By default, firstborn children have a right hand of fellowship with their fathers because of inheritance. The bible says he hunted venison for his father to eat, symbolic of the responsibility of firstborn children.

The portion of Esau in the world was the blessing and birthright of being a firstborn. God had ordained that Esau possess the blessing of a firstborn, that is why there was no possibility of Jacob coming out first at birth. Jacob had been born to inherit the blessing of being a father to nations.

The only mistake Esau made was to sell his birthright to Jacob.

In our theme scripture still, Rebecca loved Jacob. In simple terms, Jacob submitted to Rebecca because she understood the vision of God concerning the boy. The vision of God concerning Jacob was upon Rebecca while the vision of God concerning Esau was upon Isaac.

Rebecca was present at birth when she inquired of God and she heard that the elder shall serve the young. Isaac was not present at that time. So the man of God did not understand the vision of God concerning Jacob.

Before you make up your mind to submit to someone? *Does that man carry the full revelation and vision of God concerning your life?*

Or before you tell someone to submit to you? *Do you understand the full vision and revelation of God concerning that person?*

Submission is not based on gifts, callings. We do not submit to money, suits and eloquence of a man of God. I submit to a man of God because he addresses and alligns me to the vision of God concerning my life.
*Hallelujah!*

*Further study:* Genesis 25:23-27, Genesis 25:30-32.

*Nugget:* Submission is based on vision. Jacob submitted to Rebecca because the latter knew the vision of God concerning the former. God made it known to Rebecca. Whereas Esau submitted to Isaac because the man of God understood the vision of the firstborn rights concerning Esau. Learn to submit to vision.
Glory to God

*Prayer*
