*1 John 2:13* ; _I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning_ ….
*Of Fathers 6* .
The patterns of living a successful life to humankind are two dimensional: that is by individual experience and secondly, by learning from other people’s experience. The writing down of scripture was for our learning, that by the testimony of the men of old, we may walk our salvation journey wisely. [ *Romans 15:4]*
Our theme scripture, introduces to us the importance of spiritual authorities i.e. our fathers. As growing sons and daughters in the kingdom, we can redeem a lot of our time and open into new spiritual doors by learning from the testimony of our fathers.
[ *Revelations 12:11],* we overcome the enemy by the word of our testimony. See, in [ *1 John 2:13* ], the major issue at these stages of spiritual growth in the young men’s life is overcoming the wicked one and for the children, it’s overcoming sins and walking past condemnation. These have a solution: the testimony of our Fathers since they were also once at this stages. Testimony brethren is a strong weapon against fear, condemnation and any attack of the enemy, especially when the testimony you have involves God.
They have known him from the beginning: the knowledge here is knowledge by experience *[1 Samuel 3:1-9* ]; Samuel as a growing prophet needed the guidance of Eli the priest to discern the voice of God. Eli had known God from the beginning, that he is a God who speaks and what response (how to talk to God) was required for Samuel to have a conversation with God. Let’s not be their saying we can’t hear God, our ministries aren’t growing, our marriages aren’t working out, we have a person with experiential knowledge concerning these things, Praise the Lord! Overcome the wicked one as a young man by your father’s testimony. Overcome sin and condemnation as a child using your father’s testimony

Everlasting father, you who has lived in the past, now lives and forever more. With wisdom you have planned my life, I struggle not because you have placed men and women before me and by their knowledge of you, I walk in my inheritance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
