*Philippians 4:7*
_And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus._

*Insight*
Very many things can compromise the peace of the lord in our lives. Bible says over in *Matthew 10:14* this was Jesus speaking he tells his disciples _if any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to the message, shake its dust from your feet_, To keep the peace of the lord, we need to realise not everyone will accept us or what we have to offer, certain men will not accept your views, they will scorn at the bread you give them *Matthew 7:6*, some will despise you, curse, speak ill and not believe you like the Nazarenes did for Jesus over in *Matthew 13;53-59*

That’s similar to what Paul warns against when he says that we have nothing to do with foolish arguments or controversies that’s over in *2 Timothy 2:23-24* and also *Titus 3:9* because these will breed strife which will drain the light out of you and cost us the peace of God that exceeds all understanding. Not all arguments are foolish but if you sense its going no where, you do well to just stop it. Its humility to walk away from any discussion that what would end up like a wild fire. Avoid arguments before strife breaks out *Proverbs 17;14* as it will cost us God’s peace but instead we do well to copy Jesus’ instructions to the disciples for *_#peace’s sake_*

*PRAYER*
Lord we repent for walking in pride and engaging in arguments and controversies, we choose to do things like you’ve shown us in your Word. Amen

Verse: Exodus 17:9

Moses said to Joshua, ‘Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff (rod) of God in my hands.’

– Wherever we go and whatever we do, we must make sure that the Lord is with us.
– We must not do things in our own strength or in our own wisdom.
– The ‘rod of God’ was a symbol that the Lord was with them.
– Now my friend , as you face the day, take hold of His hand, and He will give you the victory.

PRAYER: Merciful God, thank You that You are with me. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, because You are close beside me. Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me in the name of Jesus . Amen.
