CARELESSNESS IN THE SPIRIT

*Study scripture: * _Zephaniah 2:15-This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand._

*CARELESSNESS IN THE SPIRIT.*

In the physical realm, carelessness is tagged to irresponsibility and failure to be accountable to things that concern you. This is different from how the bible partly describes carelessness spiritually.

Carelessness in the spiritual realm is used to describe an aspect of pride in the heart of a man. *_He speaks of a man that says I am and there is none besides me._* This man ceases to recognise God in their lives.

Pride is a feeling of self importance. It is a place where a man stops to acknowledge God in their success and prosperity. Such a man esteems his efforts above the existence of God thus carelessness.

It is carelessness to think you are running that relationship because of your beauty or money. It is carelessness to think that ministry is thriving because of your own abilities and as result,it is easy to come to desolation.

A man that is careless spiritually comes to nothing and in the end, such a person is mocked when his day of failure comes to manifestation. Pride is carelessness in the spirit.

Beware not to be careless spiritually. A careless man is a person who stops to acknowledge that they are who they are by God’s grace and he continually looks to his efforts. Be careful and humble to know God is behind your progress.
