*Study scripture:* _Hebrews 12:22 – But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,_
*ZION THE CITY OF GOD 1*
Hallelujah to the Lord most high. When you became born again,it was not an ordinary experience of only redeeming you from sin. There is a new place you inhabited by the spirit. You became a citizen of a new country. Forget about your ethnicity, tribe and skin color. You entered God’s city.
Your salvation catapulted you into the city of the living God called mountain Zion. You are now a dweller of that glorious city. *_Hebrews 12.23 – To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,_* The bible says your name is Registered as a citizen in that city. They have a record of you.
Just as you possess a national ID or university ID, so are you identified in the kingdom of God. *_Ephesians 2:19 – Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;_* You are highly recognized as a member of God’s family. Do not walk life in this world as a stranger.
You carry an identity in God’s kingdom. In this city,you qualify for all the previledges and rights of a man that has acquired citizenship. One of them is the holy spirit then deliverance, healing, prosperity, abundance of grace are all things that accompany men who originate from this city.
*_2 Kings.19.31 – For a remnant of my people will spread out from Jerusalem, a group of survivors from Mount Zion. The passion of the LORD Almighty will make this happen!(NLT)_* Ooh thanks be to God!! Zion is a city that produces survivors. You have escaped and survived from infirmities, diseases and all manner of darkness. We are the group of survivors. You are a victor and not a victim of situations.
It is not your responsibility to save yourself, now that you entered this city of Zion, the bible says the zeal and passion of God will make it come to pass. In this city, God labours and is passionate to make you righteous, prosperous, healed and full of grace. You have rested from your labour and works in Zion. The Lord labours to make you a wonderful prophet and teacher of the word.
*_Romans 11:26 – Before it’s all over, there will be a complete Israel. As it is written, A champion will stride down from the mountain of Zion; he’ll clean house in Jacob.(MSB)_* The Lord has purposed to perfect and make your life, family, ministry complete. The champion from Zion is Jesus Christ who was given for your deliverance. It is him who cleans you.
