“But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.”
— Luke 9:55 (KJV)
*Your Testament* .
It’s always amazing how we expect so much good from people and we consider God to be one that whose anger is easily kindled and all we know about Him is that He is such a judgemental God who is always in wait for any error we make and boom He punishes us!.
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Matthew 7:11 (KJV), if our parents can surely long suffer us in some of our mistakes whose holiness we can’t compare to God, how much more will God long suffer our ignorance and stubbornness. He is the source of every good and perfect gift.[James 1:17].
In our theme scripture, the disciples advocated to call for fire upon Samaritan’s because they had refused the gospel, and in their knowledge they were right because some men of old like Elijah did so.[ 2 Kings 1:10], but Jesus had to rebuke them and show them that yes they had knowledge, but they didn’t have the understanding of which spirit/dispension/testament they are in.
The Gospel is complete and self sufficient in power to save men[Romans 1:16], it doesn’t need additives such as causing diseases to men nor accidents inorder for men to recieve it. For on Jesus every punishment was laid and He said it is finished/all paid/every requirement met.[John 19:30].
However much God wants us all saved, He wouldn’t go as far as destroying or threatening to have us accept Him, or else at His resurrection He would have moved in all the City to show the men who crucified him that he is risen, no! He left it for their choice. Our God is not a possessive one like the demon’s are, for He is a gentle and loving God who has placed both life and death before us to choose one our own. All forms of destruction are of the devil [John 10:10].

*Nugget* :
Unlike the evil spirit’s, our God is not a possessive God, but a gentle who has placed both life and death in our will, though He wills that we all get saved.
*Prayer* :
Abba father, you who is full of love and mercy and from whom all good things flow. I bless you for this knowledge, no longer will I threaten men of your wrath but I preach your Gospel full of good news, in Jesus’ name Amen.
