*YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFT ISN’T EVERYTHING BUT GOD IS*
Samuel was a prophet of God, God revealed to him the things to come and he was to warn people or instruct them according to what the Lord showed him.
But this time round he could not see the King God wanted to provide for himself amongst the sons of Jesse, he totally couldn’t tell. In all the seven attempts amongst the first seven Sons of Jesse, he could not tell who the Lord’s Chosen king was, and this is when he asks Jesse if those were the only sons he had but Jesse replied that there was one left and that was the one God had chosen.
What does this show us, the fact that Samuel was a prophet did not mean he could see everything, his gift couldn’t exhaust all that God had to reveal unto him even when it was granted unto him by God.
The gifts given unto us from God are not everything. Sometimes we tend to rely and totally depend on the gifts we have, that is to say Prophecy, Wisdom, speaking in tongues and so on and we think now that’s it but the Truth remains that those are only to help us in some things and not all things. They are to make us effective in some areas of our ministry and not all things.
So it’s wrong to think your spiritual gift is all and everything and forget the one who gives it. We must not let the place of God be taken away by anything not even the gifts, talents, we have. Cause God might want to show you something you know not but because your gift is your everything you’ll miss out.
*Nugget*
The spiritual Gifts God gives us are only to make us effective in areas of purpose but we must not think they are to sustain is in everything it’s God to sustain us and lead us in everything.

*Prayer*
Heavenly Father, I know it’s you that grants me the spiritual gift I possess, I pray that I will totally depend on you so as to use this gift for the assigned purpose, may I not be blinded by it but may it help me see your greatness as I use it for your purpose in Jesus’name. Amen
