*Study Scripture*
2Chr.20.1 – After this, the armies of the Moabites, Ammonites, and some of the Meunites declared war on Jehoshaphat.
2Chr.20.2 – Messengers came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army from Edom is marching against you from beyond the Dead Sea. They are already at Hazazon-tamar.” (This was another name for En-gedi.)
2Chr.20.3 – Jehoshaphat was alarmed by this news and sought the LORD for guidance. He also gave orders that everyone throughout Judah should observe a fast.
*WHERE TO RUN!!!!*
King Jehoshaphat was well aware of where he would run to when he ran out of options. He knew his source of guidance and direction. He knew that a great multitude was to attack him and instead of wasting himself and the army through fighting tirelessly alone, he needed God’s direction on how he can overcome this vast army.
In life you could have alot of things attacking you all at once at the same time, it might look like a great army ready to put you down, you might have people that bring news that overwhelms you, I mean alot can happen at once, and this of course doesn’t mean you won’t be afraid, you will be, but in the midst of fear we ought to apply Faith and run to the one who knows it all.
We have to run to the Father like king Jehoshaphat did and resorted to running to seek God in need of His guidance and direction through the battle.
We need to Take God as our first option, first priority in all things because he knows the beginning to the end why simply because he is the alpha and Omega…
Rev.1.8 – “I am the Alpha and the Omega–the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come, the Almighty One.”
Nothing is to hard For our God, that’s why we always need to run to him because he has got the right direction for us. When you don’t know where to run ,,the enemy will always toss you here and there and in the process he’ll snatch away your opportunities of thriving.
So even as we start off the week, let’s know that our Fountain of Help, comfort, forgiveness, love, prosperity, strength and so on spring From God.
*Nugget*
Even when a multitude of challenges, pain, suffering, rejection, hatred, is before me and running after me, I will not give in but I will run to the one who grants me victory through it all, I will trust in the one who doesn’t disappoint me, I will worship and praise the one who rescues me when it looks like I’m being swallowed up.
