WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE WINE?

*STUDY SCRIPTURE*

Luke 5:39
_And no one, having drunk old [wine,] immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’”_

*WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE WINE?*

Praise God! The context of our theme scripture is Jesus trying to defend his disciples as to why they didn’t pray and fast whilst he was with the way John’s disciples were doing while with John. He speaks of a Parable of Wine and Wine skins to show his hearers that there is going to now be a difference in their conduct that is _”When and why they prayed and fasted”_ of A man who has Jesus dwelling with them and those who still followed the Prophet John the Baptist not knowing he was pointing to Jesus. Now John the Baptist here is like a sum of all the prophets of old ( The Old) and there ministry was to usher and make way for Jesus (The New) just as The law and the Prophets (The Old) was to usher us into Grace.(The New).

Jesus then moves on to talk about wines and how no one puts New wine in old wine skins or it will burst but New wine is placed in New wine skins for both there preservation (Luke 5;38) and from our theme scripture, he then talks of how A a man having drunk of the Old wine immediately; at that particular time desires not the New because he says, _” *The Old is Better”*_ and what the Spirit of the lord is trying to teach us is _*”To guard against the Deception of the Spirit of legalism and Demonic Religion.”*_ that can actually appeal to a man’s conscience and seem better than His current by the Spirit of God.

See when A New Creature; a New wine skin ( 2 Cor 5;17) is fed on New Wine ( The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit in this Dispensation of Grace) he is preserved however if the New wineskin is fed on what is Old, he is frustrated as a matter of fact he is made delusional as they can immediately (In the time frame of their Drinking) start to think that the ” *Old is Better than the New”* and that’s what our theme scripture is trying to say. *_Try sitting under a typical Religious and legal Church or ministration and you may be convinced they are teaching the Right thing and Grace as taught by Paul is a scum or some hyper message_*. If you continue drinking of the Old wines yet you are a New Skin trust me you will never appreciate the New Wine which is what is meant to preserve you.

_Be careful of what wine you favor to drink of. If you ever find the Old better than the New then you are being delusional and you need to get off that Doctrine. A New creation Prays, Fasts and relates with God differently now with a different motive; out of love and faith and Not legalism and Duty. The Dispensation and covenant have changed and so has God’s Dealing._

*PRAYER*
Thank you Jesus for you’ve made me A New Wine skin for New Wine. Help me Spirit of God not to ever think the Old wine is better for me but keep being filled with the New for my preservation and your glory in Jesus Name I have prayed Amen.
