Ephesians 2:8 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:_
*WHAT IS GRACE?*
The Greek word used for grace is Charis which means undeserved favour, something that you never worked for, something that you didn’t deserve.
That’s why grace is not worked for, grace is just received. We receive grace, we don’t work for grace. Scriptures tell us that those who receive abundance of grace reign in life, not those who work for it.
Anything that is worked for then ceases to be called grace, it is a payment of your effort. So grace is entirely the effort of God without man.
That’s why for it to be called grace, we ignore both your good and bad works because even bad works fall under the category of works. When we speak of works then we mean both good and bad.
Many think of works as only good. They tend to ignore the bad works. However, in the realm of grace all your efforts whether good or bad are eliminated Hallelujha.
So grace overlooks even your bad works because it is not by the works that justification comes but by him who on whom we have believed. Hallelujah glory to God
