Until I came 2

*Study scripture*
1 Kings 10:7 (KJV)
“ _Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard_ .”

*Theme: Until I came 2* .
From yesterday’s devotion we got to see how it’s required of us to have an individual interaction and revelation with the person of Christ. And Today let’s carry on in the same direction. Scriptures tell us of what really intrigued the Queen’s interest to visit King Solomon: that is Solomon’s fame concerning the name of the Lord,(Verse 1). Does that mean that Queen of Sheba came listen to the Gospel, ?? it’s possibly right.

Our Lord Jesus gives us the story in detail of what really happened in the dialogue between Solomon the King and the Queen of Sheba, (Matthew 12:42). It tells us of how the Queen will get to judge with this generation ( you and I) to judge and condemn it. But to Bible scholars, what really condemns man before God: it’s failure to appreciate the good news by the Gospel (salvation by faith and not works). So the Queen of Sheba can’t judge without the Gospel, right.

This shades a certain light to our Spirit, that when we are reading King Solomon’s writings in the Bible, we ought to see Jesus from them, we ought to see the salvation by faith in them. Lets go further (1 Kings 10:4 Kjv), in King Solomon’s sharing, the Queen saw wisdom!!, she didn’t hear but a certain picture was spread for her in the King’s words. Which picture was that, (Matthew 12:42), the greater than Solomon is here. At the top of Solomon’s wisdom was Jesus. So until we come to know Jesus individually, we may not see Him above what has been shared (1 Kings 10:9), it’s until she came, that she saw. That’s why a man because he has knowledge of who Jesus is, can shout GLORY when another man is sharing because he has seen more, HALLELUJAH.

*Nugget*
_In Solomon’s words, the Queen saw wisdom. She didn’t hear it, but saw it. There’s something beyond that which is shared in our fellowships, that is Jesus. We must understand and see Jesus better in every sharing._

*Prayer*
Loving father and faithful friend, I thank you for your Spirit given to lead me into all truth. As I read, listen and share the word, I am revealed of you more than before. You are my absolute revelation, in Jesus’name. AMEN.
