*Study scripture*
1 Kings 10: 7-8 (KJV)
_Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard. Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom_ .
*Theme: Until I came* .
Our portion of scripture today tells of a testimony by the Queen of Sheba, of what she had witnessed in her time of visit at King Solomon’s Palace. The Bible tells us that having heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came with hard questions to ask him (Verse 1). But to her amusement not even a half was told to her back when she was in Sheba.
This brings to our attention, how much have we gone an extra charge to know of that Christ we have received as dear Children of God? When we were introduced to the salvation by faith by that faithful minister, did it stop their? Let’s relate this discussion with the story of that Samaritan woman at the well, when she went back to witness to her friends back in the city, they decided to follow her, now see what their response was after interacting with Jesus. “And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.” John 4:42 (KJV)
Until one has come to that place of having an interaction with the savior, one wont have the full revelation of who God is. When the Samaritan woman went to witness, she told of her own story about how Jesus had told her everything concerning her. And many like us may have the same picture of the Jesus in the movies, preached by our Men of God but what revelation do I have of Him personally. The Samaritans later gave that ultimate revelation one even the woman hadn’t spoken of: He is the Christ, the Savior of the world. HALLELUJAH, let’s come to that place of seeing Him as He really is. That’s what convinces a man even in hard situations that He is my Jesus, He is for me, I know that I know because I know Him.
