*UNDERSTANDING FAITH #1*
*Our response to grace.*
Ephesians 2:8 KJV For by grace are ye saved *THROUGH faith;* and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
?Grace alone is incomplete on our side. Grace avails the work of God, grace invites you into something that God has already done.
?However you ought to receive what the lord has done through faith. If you don’t get it by faith then you can never enjoy it or walk it. you will just read it and look at it and smile and admire but receive nothing.
For example God provided salvation for the whole world, he provided remission Of sins for the whole world etc however, not everyone is born again, do you know why? Because they have not acted on what God has done by faith. Faith is our response to what the lord has done. You can’t receive grace apart from faith.
?Faith is the avenue for recieving grace. That’s why all the gifts by grace were received through faith. Righteousness, holiness, etc.
? When you read scriptures like
1. Romans 1:5 KJV By whom we *HAVE RECEIVED GRACE AND APOSTLESHIP,* for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
2. Romans 5:17 KJV For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they *WHICH RECEIVE ABUNDANCE OF GRACE* and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
3. 2nd Corinthians 6:1 KJV We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye *RECEIVE NOT THE GRACE* of God in vain.
4. Hebrews 4:16 KJV Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and *FIND GRACE* to help in time of need.
The question is many don’t ask themselves how we receive this grace?
The answer is in Ephesians 2:8.
Grace is received by faith. Faith is our response to what the lord has done.
John 3:16 a)KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,…
????This portion of scripture is a work of Grace.
John 3:16 b)
…that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
????This portion is faith which is our response. You cannot believe God without faith. You have to believe Christ through faith.
? So faith is our response Into this or to access grace.
Romans 4:16 KJV Therefore *it is of faith, that it might be by grace;* to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
? When you get born again, for you to enjoy the available graces, it all has to be by faith.
Galatians 3:14 KJV That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; *that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.*
? Faith is the avenue for us to receive what the lord God has done already.
Hebrew 6:12 KJV That ye be not slothful, but followers of them *who through faith and patience inherit the promises.*
? Don’t ask for healing, recieve it by faith, don’t ask to get rich, decieve it by faith, don’t ask for some graces. God has already availed all grace.
Your only part is to receive it by faith. If you don’t receive it, don’t blame God or his provisions, just elevate your faith the more hallelujah glory to God.
