THE THOMAS FAITH*

*Study scripture:* _John 20:25 – The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe._

*THE THOMAS FAITH*

Thomas is one of the disciples who doubted the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He said *_”I will not believe unless I see and touch the scars”_*

God had spoken unto them that the son of God would resurrect after three days. He needed to just believe because God had spoken. He did not need evidence to prove the resurrection of Jesus.

When a man carries the Thomas kind of faith,he says unless I see and count my money,I will not believe am rich. Unless I feel I do not have the pain in my bones,I will not believe am healed. Unless I understand the verses,I will not believe I understand the word.

The Thomas kind of faith seeks for a testimony of the affirmation of the five senses. It believes what it can see with its eyes, touch,feel, taste, smell. This faith is operative by material evidence. He only believes its true because he has a physical experience.

There is a man who does not believe he is rich because he has not yet touched the money. Such a man carries the Thomas faith. One only believes he is healed because he does not feel pain anywhere. He carries the Thomas faith. One believes he is annointed because he feels sensation of it. He carries the Thomas faith.

Thomas is a man who believed the resurrection of Jesus after he had seen,heard, touched, felt and smelt his presence. He did not believe because God had spoken already. Believe you are annointed, not because of sensation but because God has called you annointed.

*_John.20.29 – Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed._* The true blessing actually starts in you believing without seeing. Thomas needed to believe Jesus was alive even without seeing him.

Do not wait for material evidence, believe because God has spoken. Believe you are rich,healed, Blessed, glorious. You do not have to be like Thomas who only believes after he has seen. The blessing is in believing without seeing.

*Nugget:*
There is nothing you need to prove the blessing of God upon your life. You do not need material evidence to prove what God has spoken. That is a Thomas kind of faith that uses its senses. Believe because God has spoken.

I denounce the Thomas kind of faith in my life. The faith of the son of God is at work in me. Am rich. Am blessed. My life is a pattern of the work Jesus has accomplished for me on the cross. Glory to God.
