THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL

*Study scripture:* _1Corinthians 9:18 – What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.(KJV)_

*THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL.*

It is possible for a man to preach the gospel and it carries no power. God has ordained all the power to be present in the gospel unto salvation. *_(Romans 1:17)._* Your reward in the gospel is when you proclaim it free of charge.

It is the power to save a man from sickness. It is the power to save a man from poverty. It is the power to save a man from infirmities. It is the power to deliver a man from all manner of oppression. But this power is only preserved if the gospel is proclaimed free of charge.

No charge is supposed to be imposed on the gospel. Many men have entered the gospel and have only found it to be a lucrative business and arena of previledge and honor. As a result,the power is consequently lost.

If God has given you a gift of healing,a grace of teaching, or anything that can help saints in the ministry, you ought to present it in purity of heart to manifest the glory of God and not to impose a charge on it.

As a man of God and minister,it must be easy for people to have access to you. It must be easy for people to have access to the resources God has placed in you for the gospel and you must continually exercise a lifestyle that makes it cheap for people to access the gospel.

It is supposed to be freely given out since it was freely received.*_Mathew 10:8 – Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give._* Freely have you received that revelation, freely give it out. Freely did you receive that glory, freely give it out. Let men find it cheap and at liberty to receive from you.

Anyman that seeks to impose a price and a charge on the gospel and the grace God has placed upon him will consequently lose, corrupt, and fail to operate in the glory of the gospel. The reason as to why there is a reduction in the power of God upon some people’s lives is because they have made the gospel of charge hence abusing its power.

*Nugget:*
Everytime a charge and price is imposed on the gospel,its power is abused. The gospel is supposed to be free of access and cheap for anyone to encounter and relate with. As a minister, know it that you must act in a way that anyman can receive from you.

I bless your name Lord for the power in the gospel. Freely have we received your grace and power. Freely shall we give it out in the name of Jesus.
