Genesis 11:1 (KJV)
“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.”

THE POWER OF LANGUAGE.
From our theme scripture, God is so intentional about the order of these two, where language comes before speech.

Many are the times when we have seen different people making similar prayers all the time but they receive answers differently. This comes with the language they have used and not the speech they have used during prayer.

An example is when a man says “I declare that I’m healed” but does not understand the language of faith and he still believes that he is sick because of the signs and symptoms on his body but all that he has is speech.

In Genesis 11:6 (KJV),“And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” In this scripture, we see God being moved by these men because of the unity they had and the one language they had.

The language is what gives meaning to what is spoken and the spiritual world understands language more than speech.
