Romans 8:26 (KJV); Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
THE HELPER IN INFIRMITY
Prayer is not an opportunity for us to remind God of all our weaknesses. Every time we go to God, pointing out our failings, that is prayer with infirmity.
These are prayers punctuated by statements such as, “Lord I know that I am nothing, I am weak and broken and I am a useless rug before you.”
The Holy Spirit, our helper in prayer, is the one who urges us to approach the throne of grace with boldness, to come to God as victors and not as victims(Hebrews 4:16).
When the Spirit intercedes for us, He is not telling God on our behalf just how weak and wicked we are. He is speaking forth the strengths of God in us. What He says is what we utter.
Therefore, the kind of prayer that heaven expects from a New Testament believer is one that speaks forth the testimony of what Christ has done in and for us.
In prayer, you boldly declare, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ! I am above and not beneath. I am more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens me! I am not of them that draw back but of those that endure to the saving of the soul!”
Every time we proclaim the finished work of Christ in prayer, we are praying in strength and not in infirmity. Because we pray without infirmity, our prayers carry effect and power.
Hallelujah!

*Prayer*
My loving God, I thank You for this instruction on prayer. I know who I am and what You have done in me. I pray in and with the Word and stand in the confidence of the finished work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

2 Chronicles 16:9(KJV); For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
