THE GOSPEL

*Study scripture:* -_Mark 15:15-16 -And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned._

*THE GOSPEL*

Jesus in our theme scripture commands us to go out into the world and preach the gospel. The gospel is simply the message of good news, of which good news stands for salvation through grace.

So when we speak about the gospel we talk about its saving power from the wages of sin. The gospel is meant to restore the relationship between mankind and God, that was initially lost in the garden of Eden when man ate the forbidden fruit.

In disobeying the instruction of God, Adam lost a spiritual connection with God. In other words when God said that he would die if he ate that fruit, He was speaking of the spiritual death.

This ought to be the reason you spend hours in the presence of God such that you understand the mystery of grace. Salvation should be treated with all manner of respect.

If the gospel requires you to spend time studying the word, do so and if it requires you to bend low in service, do it for the sake of that soul because it is a matter of life and death.

Be diligent in preaching because it cost someone too the same measure before the gospel reached you.

I am honoured to be a part of this great mandate of spreading the gospel and I pray that my love for you grows more each day such that with each day that passes, I may hunger for more souls to be won unto your kingdom.
