The essence of spiritual experiences

Acts.4.19 – But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
Acts.4.20 – For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

*The essence of spiritual experiences*

There are spiritual experiences with that begin coming to every yielded spirit of a believer as one grows in God.

There is something that happens to you when you see and hear God, when you experience the God you have to preach. These experiences we have with God are necessary, they break the bond of limitation.

I have known of people who love Jesus but they cannot preach in all seasons, they can only preach in a kind of setting that only gives them the convenience to eg where they are given a pulpit, group outreaches etc. When convenience is not there they can’t witness and yet scripture says be instant in season and out of season.

When you understand this, it should provock you to believe God for spiritual experiences because there is a boldness in witnessing you will never connect to unless you have experienced this God a certain way.

Just like Peter and John in our theme scripture didn’t compromise to certain limitations by the religious men of those days, by the word it’s important a believer places a demand on God for an experience in him so that as you go into ministration, you are not limited.

For example the Holy Spirit at Jerusalem was an experience that provocted the apostles into the acts of Christ, in Acts.4:29-31 we hear the apostles praying for a boldness amidst threatenings, it’s a spiritual experience that gave Apostle Paul a message in his generation that on that very foundation we build.

Spiritual experiences are for personal edification, but that experience of seeing and hearing God gave them the liberty not to be intimidated. Spiritual experiences come to launch you deeper in God, they come as confirmations to the affirmed Truth in your spirit. Seek God to have experiences with him and hold onto them because in there God is defining your place of confidence and courage.
