THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST

*Study scripture:* _2 John 1:9 – Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son._

*THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST*

The bible speaks of men who abide and they that do not abide in the doctrine of Christ. To abide means to stay permanently and consistently. You must have a consistent experience of the dealings of Jesus.

When the bible speaks of transgression,he talks of you building and destroying the same things. Men who transgress the doctrine of Christ are those who compromise with what Jesus has done.

To abide fully in the doctrine of Christ means to holdfast only that which Jesus has testified of. The ministry of God in the new testament is the absolute reality of the doctrine of Jesus Christ.

For example, in the law of Moses;it was supposed to be an eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth for some one who annoys you. It was a call unto revenge. Elijah called upon fire one time.

In the doctrine of Jesus, that is wrong. Concerning enemies, Jesus said pray for your adversaries and bless them. Give food to your hungry enemy and drink to him that is thirsty. Forgive and love your enemies.

In the old testament,it taught us that we were sinners and our sins had separated us from God. In the New testament, the doctrine of Christ teaches us that we are the Righteousness of God in Christ through his blood.

The doctrine of Christ is simply the testimony of Jesus. What has Jesus spoken concerning money, career, relationship, marriage, ministry etc? His testimony is his doctrine and it is what sets people free and gives a true experience of godliness.
*Hallelujah!!*

2 John 1:10
John 8:32

*Nugget:*
To abide in the doctrine of Jesus means to fully walk in the life and testimony of the new testament. This is what brings the full manifestation of the presence of God upon your life as a Christian. Abide in the teachings of Jesus concerning all things and have the full experience of godliness.

*Prayer:*
I bless your name Holy spirit for opening my eyes to what God has called me for in Christ. I am exercised to walk in and discern all manner of doctrine to the glory of God.
Amen.
