“Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.”
— Matthew 16:6 (KJV)
*The doctrine.*
According to pastry world, leaven is an additional ingredient that is meant to increase the size of the bread. Likewise, today there are such teachings whose doctrine requires many things for one to live righteous even when such a man recieved salvation by faith.
Jesus tells his disciples to be aware for any doctrine that will require them to do things to prove their salvation in Christ. One of the most confusing elements in the body is this: we are found to believe that Christ has triumphed over everything for our victory, only to go and sit under a man whose end in a sermons is that for us to recieve our break through we ought to pray and break every generational curses, what is the importance of Christ then!. This is adding to what Christ did, this leaven to the bread.
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”Colossians 2:8 (KJV): the gospel is self sufficient in power, it requires no science to prove it’s worth. Not every message is for you Child of God, the message is of truth whose doctrine is founded on the complete revelation of Christ in scriptures.
There are time dispensions according to the spiritual calendar and now the dispension we are in, is one whose works are starting from the rest we recieved in Christ Jesus. Refuse to work out for your salvation but start from Jesus’ finished works to work, and this is the message we ought to feed on. Hallelujah!
