THE BODY OF CHRIST

*STUDY SCRIPTURE*
1 Peter 4:8 (KJV);
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

*THE BODY OF CHRIST*
One of the characteristics of a proper family is that the members love each other enough to cover each other and protect their own from the critical judgments of strangers and outsiders.

Only in dysfunctional families do brothers and sisters, parents and relatives take to social media to character assassinate their own or bleed on people that did not cut them.

If we are the body of Christ, the household of God, why do we sharpen our tongues with glee when a sister or brother makes a mistake? If we are the body, why do we take pleasure in fanning the flames of gossip about the failures of our own?

When will the Church get to the point where they will seek first to pray for and protect their own when they make mistakes?

The world must not learn from us everything that is wrong with the Church. The love of God must teach us to cover our own and to do it in wisdom.

Praise Him!
