The Believers’ Authority

Luke.10.18 – And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Luke.10.19 – Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

*The Believers’ Authority*

The freedom of the born again Christians is in dimensions ie there is a freedom you receive everytime you increase in knowing the truth. So ignorance can keep one in bondage, scripture says in *Hos.4.6 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:…..* Scripture doesn’t say non believers, he says My people are destroyed meaning there are people who wouldn’t have to.

In our theme scripture, Jesus is telling the disciples about the weight of the power he has given to them. You see; Although the word “power” is used twice in this verse 19, two
different words are found in the original Greek. What Jesus
actually said was, *”I have given you AUTHORITY to tread on
serpents and scorpions, and over all the POWER of the
enemy…*

The devil and his demons are supposed to recognize our authority as children of God, this authority is the delegated power of God towards us and any believer who fully understands that the power of
God is backing him or at work in him can exercise his authority and face the
enemy fearlessly.

In our theme scripture; speaking about “serpents and scorpions,” Jesus is talking
about the power of the devil—demons, evil spirits, and all his
servants. We need to realize that we have got authority over them as children of God, that consciousness will stir up Faith in you to live above the threats in bad dreams, in evil hearted people because your sure of what’s operating in them. From the position you hold as a believer, live a life of exercising your authority because that’s your birthright.
