“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
— 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
*The art of communion*
Humility of heart has been set as one of the standards to unlocking the secrets and given places in God. According to God in this scripture, it’s pride for one not to pray! as well as to pray rightly one ought to be humble firstly for him to get what he desires.
The same humility of heart with which we realized that we can’t save ourselves and accepted Christ as Lord, that total
dependency on God’s ability and not our ability, is the same humility that is expected of us in our daily lives as christians.
It’s pride to think that after recieving salvation by faith, you can perfect your righteousness by your deeds.[ Galatians 3:3], With dependency on our works, we will fail to appear before the throne of mercy, and find ourselves unworthy to commune with God.
The right humility before God is the utilisation of His grace and it’s from this approach, that our eyes are lifted above our failures to relate with God, relating with God resulting into understanding His mysteries and becoming great in the Kingdom. This is the art of communion!

The right humility before God is the utilisation of His grace in all our communion with him.
*Prayer*
Abba father full of power and authority, by you I live, move and have my being. My total dependency is in what you can in and by me, not by my strength nor power, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
