TAKE HEED WHAT YOU HEAR

*Study scripture:* _1Samuel 17:10-11 And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.- When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid._

*TAKE HEED WHAT YOU HEAR*

In the old times, there existed a giant called Goliath that was a terrorist to the Nation of Israel. He was so experienced in warfare that no one in Israel, not even the army dared to raise against him.

The scripture says he spoke a lot of great swelling words that king Saul began to fear. If Saul had not listened to these words,he would not have feared. What he heard could either give him boldness or fear for battle.

Did you know that what you hear influences a lot about your existence on earth? You are a total sum of the things, information you have grown up hearing. If what you hear continually causes fear and doubt, why should you keep listening to it?

If you are watching television and you end up fearing, why should you continue? Many people are living in fear because of what they heard on television, read in the newspapers, heard on radio etc. Watch and listen to programs that activate boldness in your spirit.

The opposite of fear is faith. Just as you can listen to words and fear, you can also listen to God’s word and receive boldness. *_Romans 10:17 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God._* Faith in the word of God creates boldness in you.

Fear fell upon Saul because he did not hear the word of God,he gave attention to the voice of the enemy. Had he heard God’s voice? He would not have feared. He would have had faith. Listen to God’s word and build your faith always.
*_Hallelujah!!_*

*Prayer:*
I refuse to fear in the name of Jesus. I possess the boldness of the son of God in me. Nothing causes trouble in my spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
