James 4:7 So then, submit yourselves to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you.

*SUBMITTING TO GOD*

One thing I realized in life is that when you submit yourself to God, it’s more crucial to stay away from the things that brings condemnation in the heart, otherwise the devil will keep on bringing condemnation in your heart because of the wicked things you keep on doing while trying to grow in God. In the scripture above, we see that submitting to God requires us to resist the devil and anything that concerns him. You stay away, that’s the only way to overcome!
There are some brothers and sisters in Christ who still play with fire, some will say, I will keep doing the things of the world and also serving God which is impossible. One of the things that God does is to seperate you from the world if he is to use you mighty. Jesus tells us that, you can’t serve 2 masters at the same time.(Mathew 6:24).
Show me a man who is used by God and I will show you the one who is set apart to fulfill his mandate. In 2 Corinthians 1:21, apostle Paul says, *….. it is God himself who has set us apart*, You can’t submit yourself to God and keep in sins like fornication, addictions, unforgiveness, lying and many others. Allow God to set you apart for the good work He has called you to do.
Brethren, let’s understand the mandate that we have in God and choose to walk pure before God. The scripture tells us that, “happy are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Mathew 5:8).
