Strength beyond strength

*Isaiah 40:30-31* ; _Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up on wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint._

*Strength beyond strength* .
As we still occupy this body, there are trials, tests and tribulations that come to weigh us down; be it a Christian or not. These may come because of ministry, from family, work and even relationships we are engaged in.

When the Bible speaks of the youthful stage and young men, it talks of a stage where one is capable of gathering resources, thoughts and all help. But how about a situation where even what you are capable of gathering to solve a situation utterly fails.

The Bible therefore, speaks of a man who waits upon the Lord be it old or young in age, that man’s strength shall be renewed. This is beyond human strength or capability to withstand problems, but the confidence/assurance that however much turmoil I am in, I am reaching the end of my course.

[ *Ephesians 3:13-16* ]; Having recognised that the church in Ephesus was disturbed by his tribulations, Paul prayed for them that they might be *strengthened with might in their inner man* . See, the difference between a knowledgeable believers and an ignorant believer is that the strength a knowledgeable one thrives with isn’t from without only, but from within as well: that is the inward strength.

Waiting upon the Lord includes loving and wholly trusting his ways and commands, learning and understanding his purpose and plan for you at such moments through his word. So by waiting upon the Lord, this is *how one’s inward strength is renewed:* because you have known his ways, you are sure that _God can’t fail you_ [ *Romans 5:3-5* ], God provides _wisdom_ on how to go about the issue you are going through [ *James 1:5]* and the assurance that you are _not alone_ in this [ *Matthew 28:20* ]. So that’s why a believer will run where others couldn’t, however much we are of the same age and maybe you are richer than them!

*Nugget* :
_The difference between a knowledgeable believers and an ignorant believer is that the strength a knowledgeable one thrives with isn’t from without only, but from within as well: that is the inward strength._
*Confession* :
I’m a victor because Christ is in me, my strength isn’t dependant on the physical only but I generate more from my inner man. With strength I run my race with ease because God is in me, HALLELUJAH!
