*STUDY SCRIPTURE*
1 Kings 3:9-10 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this.
*PURPOSED PRAYER 1.*
In this context of scripture, Solomon had all the liberty and freedom to ask for anything and God was very willing to do as he had to ask.
At times we tend to pray to God for things that never matter or even may not be priorities for our well being and even to the kingdom and that’s why some people will start to say that God does not hear my prayers and they move from one ministry to another praying same stuff but in the real sence they don’t receive because they don’t need those things.
In James 4:3 (KJV)“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” it’s not that we don’t pray but because we want what we pray for to satisfy our lustful pleasures.
The will of God unto us is beyond asking for things from our lustful places of need but to build his church and kingdom.
