PROVE ALL THINGS

*PROVE ALL THINGS*

_1st Thessalonians 5:21 KJV *Prove all things*; hold fast that which is good._

The Greek word for prove as used in our opening scripture is ‘dokimazo’ meaning to test the genuiness of a thing. We are told to prove all things, not some things but all things. This includes all teachings, all ministrations etc name them.

But what do we use for proving all things? We use scriptures according to 2nd Timothy 3:16
We prove all things using scriptures. Without scriptures, never seek to prove anything.

When something goes against scriptures, it doesn’t matter how beautiful or emotional it may be, it doesn’t matter who wrote it, it is error in spirit. That now is the deception the devil is using in songs etc. He has taught many Christians to sing error and because they can’t discern truth, they even cry in the process of singing.

Some people have believed error because they were following elders in age and not scriptures. They don’t want to prove all things. For them whatsoever their pastors tells them then that is truth, Even when it disagrees with the scriptures.

To be noble in the spirit is when you can prove or test whether the thing that a person has taught you agrees with the scriptures. Paul spoke of the Berans and said they were more noble than the others because they tested all that Paul said by scriptures. Glory to God.

*Further study:* 2nd Timothy 3:16, Acts 17:10-12,

*Nugget* To be noble in the spirit is when you can prove or test whether the thing that a person has taught you agrees with the scriptures. The only avenue for testing doctrine is by the scriptures, not titles that men carry.

*Prayer* Father, I thank you that I have the wisdom to discern all things in me by the holy spirit who directs me into all truth. Where I was wanting, thank you that you have established me In Jesus name amen.
