*PROGRAM #2: SENSITIVITY OF THE FOUNDATION*
?? The foundation of a house is the most sensitive part of a building.
?? Psalms 11:3 KJV *If the foundations be destroyed,* what can the righteous do?
The Hebrew word for foundation there is *shâthâh* and has two meanings;
1. *Basis* Meaning it’s the place where you base on to build a house. It’s like a reference point where you begin from. Without which you cannot have a beginning concerning what you are building.
2. *Support* it’s also called support meaning it will support the whole building. When you destroy that which supports you then you will fall. Look at a lame man, they are supported by the walking stick, break the stick and he will be helpless.
David then asks what can the righteous do when the foundations are destroyed?
?? We are called a building or a house.
?? 1st Peter 2:5 KJV *Ye also,* as lively stones, *are built up a spiritual house*, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
?? Hebrews 3:6 KJV But Christ as a son over his own house; *whose house are we*, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
We are sometimes referred to as the temple of God which in itself is a building.
?? Ministry is also a building, marriage is a building etc.
And when building, you need a sure foundation. There are foundations that concerns building a minister, family, ministry, etc. When those foundations are broken, what can the righteous do?
?? *It is easy to fix a roof, a door, a wall, a window etc when it has been broken, however when the foundation is broken, you don’t repair it, you break the whole house and build another. That’s how sensitive the foundation is.*
????When laying a foundation, make sure you lay it accurately.
?? So be careful never to break the foundation. You may error in other places but never error concerning the foundations.
There are patterns laid in building the foundations. You follow patterns.
Moses was given patterns, David was given patterns, Christ also had patterns he gave us in laying the foundations.
For example the first pattern to understand is the foundation which is Christ the son of God. That’s so important in our faith it’s one of the requirements for the salvation of a soul. Believing that Jesus is the son of God and that he died and rose again and is seated far above all principalities and all names hallelujah
That’s why many religions find it hard to believe that Jesus is the son of God because the devil knows what it means for a man to believe that Jesus is the son of God.
?? You may know mysteries in the spirit world however as long as you don’t believe that Jesus died and rose again, and that he is the son of God then you are not born again.
That’s how very sensitive a foundation can be.
