*STUDY SCRIPTURE:*
Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
*PLEASING GOD*
There is something I have realized in this world, whatever we are doing is either for pleasing God or men. God is not someone who gets excited so easily because of that one thing that you have done for Him but He requires one to be patient, committed and consistent in what one is doing which is totally different from men, you can do something for a man and they praise you and get so excited for that one thing. Out of that rewards and gifts are given out. Many people always find it easy to please man because of the rewards comes quick from the man compared to doing what is pleasing before God.
The heart of a man is always deceitful,
Let’s take an example of Balaam, in Numbers 22:18 Then Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, *”Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.* Balaam was used of getting gifts from people because of the gift of God that he had untill this time when God was against him and he wasn’t allowed to curse the children of Israel. But after a while we see that he insisted and went to see Balak which almost led to his death.
we learn that, men who chose to please God flourish in everything they do, take an example of Daniel, he had an excellent spirit in him because he chose not to defile himself, king David never lost any battle because he had understood to please the Lord, apostle Paul being led by the holy spirit chose to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles no matter the hard situations.
In whatever we are doing,
let’s ask ourselves this question, *”I am pleasing God or men”*???
Let the name of the lord be glorified in everything you are doing.
*Hallelujah*
