PARABLE OF THE SOWER 4

*Study scripture:* _Luke 8:8 – And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear._

*PARABLE OF THE SOWER 4*

In this parable, their are seeds that fell on good ground. *Luke 8:15 – But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.*

The good ground is the good heart. These hear the word of God in honesty. Some renderings say in humility. These receive the word of God in humility of heart.

Humility and honesty of heart refers to a place where a Christian receives and esteems the word being spoken to him as a word of God and not a word of mere man. He knows God is speaking through the word.

Also the other place of humility is where by a Christian entertains and celebrates the man of God as a minister sent of God. You can never receive of the rewards of a minister unless you learn to celebrate the minister who carries the word.

So the honest heart is a heart that receives and esteems the word as a word from the mouth of God and celebrates the minister who carried the word. The grace you celebrate is the grace you partake of.

The good ground is a heart that full grasps the revelation of the word and understands it. A lot of times the understanding comes because of the State of a man’s heart, humility by which he receives the word.

Such men have an ability and potential to Keep the word,with patience go through tough situations and persecutions and finally bring forth fruit.

They are not intimidated by any circumstance to give up and neither are they swallowed up by the riches of this world. Learn to receive the word of God in all humility and lowliness of mind.

*Nugget:* As a Christian, the word that brings forth fruit in you is that you receive in humility, understand it and patiently keep in times of persecution to bring forth fruit. Esteem and celebrate the ministers that carry that word always.

*Prayer:* The word of God takes root in my spirit everyday of my life. I learn to receive and treat the word not as a word of mere men but as a word of God and I posses testimonies in Jesus’ name.
