1Pet.1.3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
*Our God is Merciful*
We are living in times where the devil has frustrated people including believers who by Truth don’t know how to preserve themselves. There are truths in scripture when once understood, they are like a shield to every believer from certain consequences in life; because when a situation attacks a believer and finds him/her unshielded, such situations can only yield to the believers’ destruction.
For example if a man never understands the goodness and Faithfulness of God, the unfailing love of God, the forgiveness of sin, the righteousness by faith etc; there are things they never be preseved from because the evil one will always draw them back to bondage.
When it comes to Mercy Jesus called it a weightier matter, what do you think is weighter about Mercy?? This is a Truth that completely shifts your eyes from the issues your dealing with, to the eternal work of God through Christ Jesus.
How is mercy a weightier matter? You see in scripture Jesus said he wouldn’t loose anyone that the father had given him, it means a person can mess up and get wasted and onto repentance, they are restored. Mercy is that thing that finds a completely wasted Man and gets him back to a living hope, that’s the power of God’s love.
Mercy avails the power of God to work in you effectively to counsel that addiction, it’s consequence and every weakness in you that would draw you back into the demands of that addiction, Mercy always positions a believer in places where he or she can obtain Grace in times of need.
Cornelius was a man without the holy ghost, what exactly pushed heaven to hear the prayer of such a Man? You see, we pray to God because mercy is with him. The mercy of God hears prayer and he delights in those who have hope in his Mercy.
*Praise the Lord Jesus*

*Nugget* Never approach God outside the consciousness of his Mercy, even in Prayer. The mercy of God hears prayer and he delights in those who have hope in his Mercy.
*Prayer* Loving Father, I thankyou for your mercies, iam the one you have showed mercy.. I live free from sin, guilt and shame because of your mercy, in Jesus Amen.
