*Of knowledge and understanding* .
The prosperity of any relationship is determined by how much knowledge and understanding both parties have. An employee will serve best his employer when he has understood by experience or knowledge what his master desires. Love will grow stronger between a man and a woman the more they continue to know and understand what and who their spouse.
No wonder in the old testament, when a man laid with his wife the bible says he knew her (Genesis 4:1, 17, 1 Samuel 1:19), because it is beyond having intercourse but knowing your partner. Knowledge is such a fundamental principle without which we cant prosper in relationships or in our service. From our theme scripture we see a servant failed to serve and meet his master’s expectations of him, because of having wrong information: you are a master who reaps where you havent sown! you gather where you havent scattered! and this caused him to fail at his master’s task. Our God is a God of principles, he himself respects them, if he first had to be concieved by a woman to come on earth, thats how much he respects principles.
Likewise, today we fail to serve our God to the maximum because of the wrong information we have about him suchas: It is God who causes sickness to us, He will take away his Spirit from us, there are sinners he can’t forgive, we can depart from his presence and come back. Some of such information we get from the old testament and the worldly perspective about God. Child of God, it is expendient for you to know to that you are in the New testament of better promises, it is only in God’s word and in Jesus where you can find the full truth of the God you seek and serve, not from experiences of men! With simplicity and ease you will serve the master because you truly know him and understand him. Selah!
