Paul as a spiritual father shows us in our theme scripture that he accounts to God for Timothy in prayer. That means everything concerning your life be it; spiritual [1 Timothy 1:6-8], your health [1 Tim 5:23] even your relationships [1 Corinthians 7] and your giving your life [2 Corinthians 9:7-8].
[Luke 10:1]: Jesus sent out 72 disciples to evangelize and they had results when they returned, why? Because Jesus their spiritual Father knew about their movements and activities were known to him. See, when a man sets out to do ministry and he has not a spiritual covering, that man is prone to any attack.
The sons of Sceva went to pray for a demon possessed man which is right, but the results they got weren’t like what the 72 got! Were they praying in Jesus’ name? Yes, then why were they attacked. [Acts 19:13-17], whether their father Sceva knew or not; the spiritual coverage they had could not sustain them at that moment, so they received a beating from a mad man.
[Genesis 28:1-5]: Jacob was bound to prosper because his father (spiritual in this case) was knowledgeable of his whereabouts. Despite us having the zeal, giftings and the demonstration of power, are our spiritual authorities aware where we are?
Do we desire to have successful ministries? lets secure coverage from our spiritual authority, do we desire to have a successful marriage? as we receive marital blessings from our parents, lets secure spiritual coverage from your spiritual authority as well. Workout your salvation with wisdom. [Philippians 2:12]!
