OBEDIENCE 3

*Study scripture: * _1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams._

*OBEDIENCE 3. *

When Saul transgressed the instructions of the spirit of God, it was said to him that obedience is better than sacrifice before the Lord. God has more delight is a person obeying than offering burnt sacrifices.

Let us take an example of business, the instructions the spirit of God gives to you concerning who you should run your business with,when to start,where to start etc are more important than how much capital and time you can invest to prosper it.

Or if you are in your ministry,the simple instructions the Holy Spirit gives to you concerning ministry are more important than how many days you are gonna pray and fast to build that anointing you want. Better obey.

Sometimes many people invest a lot in someone they wish to be their marriage partner and put in a lot of efforts to sustain that relationship. But God is more pleased in you obeying his leading towards a spouse than the sacrifices you will make.

God does not look at how much you are doing to prosper or to please him. But he looks at how much the things you are doing are consistent with his will and purpose. It is always important to know what God has said and to do it.

As a Christian,do not toil hard laboring day and night to make things works out. Do not invest in efforts that will not produce fruits. Understand that God’s voice once obeyed brings forth a simplicity that you will not attain in your sacrifices.
