*1 Kings11:38 (NKJV)*

Then it shall be, if you heed all that I command you, walk in My ways, and do what is right in My sight, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as My servant David did, then I will be with you and build for you an enduring house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.

From the previous scriptures , we see that God was not happy with king Solomon’s ways and practices . From the above scripture 1Kings 11:38 God makes a promise to Jeroboam the son Nebat, an Ephraimite of Zeredah a servant of king Solomon that if he will listen to all that the Lord has commanded him and walk in God’s ways and do what is right in His eyes by keeping His statutes and commandments , as David His servant did , l will be with you and will build you a sure house as I built for David and I will give Israel to you.

From verse 37 God says to Jeroboam , “And I will take you and you shall reign over all that your soul desires and you shall be king of Israel.”

What we draw from this as children of God as long as we keep the commandments and statutes of our God then we shall able to receive and move in the promises of our God that He has set before us His children just like Jeroboam did .
This is because obeying our Father’s commandments and instructions is a paramount to us in our christian life and God will be you as His child.

What God needs from us is to listen to all that He commands , walk in His ways and do what is right in His sight by keeping His statutes and commandments then He will be with us .
As children of God we need to hear the word of God and keep it in order for to be more blessed in the Lord.
